Design studio StokkeAustad and Norwegian brand Elementa have developed a new furniture system to accommodate the need to easily set up, expand and move workspaces. 
 
The central idea of the UN Divided system is a simple trestle made in tubular steel. With one module it is possible to support almost any type of table top size and shape. You can also build shelving, simple storage - and produce complete office landscapes.

Elementa at Oslo Design Fair 28-31January 2016

Elementa is participating in the freshly overhauled Oslo Design Fair through the 100% Norway Exhibition, which was originally shown in London in September, 2015.

Along with some of the very finest contemporary Norwegian design, Elementa is showing products and prototypes designed by StokkeAustad and Hallgeir Homstvedt, including the dB Silent Cabinets, the UN Divided Table, the UT Garden Table and KI light.

Product launch: UN by StokkeAustad

The UN trestle table started out as an impulse to make a universal trestle base that would accommodate mostly every type of table top regardless of shape or size. 

Designers StokkeAustad pondered deeply upon the request and came up with a solution which is not only very simple and elegant: It turns out that the it also carries a lot of extra possibilities, extending into shared workspaces,  shelving and beyond.
