Heather Man Observed in Oslo
Early in September 2017 the city of Oslo had an unexpected visit from the Lövaman & Swedish artist Roberto Peyre. Usually observed as a shivering body of aspen leaves, the Lövaman chose to take on a local dress of blooming heather (lyng in Norwegian). During Designers Saturday and Oslo Art Weekend in September we had the pleasure to host Swedish artist Roberto Peyre at Elementa - and follow his Lövaman for an adventure in the streets and galleries of Oslo.
The Lövaman has been spotted all over the world the latest years, more often than not dressed in shivering green aspen leaves. The present appearence arose from the beautiful autumnal heather fields from highlands just outside the city centre of Oslo.
We see in the Lövaman a good omen of things to come, echoing the insight that "things will be different, no no - i mean really really different."
